Call for Abstracts

The Programme Committee is inviting proposal for papers for this conference. If you are involved in market-leading innovation or initiatives that will help achieve carbon reductions in the refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump field we are inviting you to share your achievements by presenting a paper at this conference.

 

Why you should submit an abstract

  • Gain recognition for your work and innovation by sharing your achievement with the RACHP community and beyond
  • Your paper will be published by the IOR in the conference proceedings 
  • Free access to the conference for presenting authors
  • The conference papers will be used to develop a roadmap document that will better lead to understanding the potential of low carbon technologies and business practices. 

 

Is your abstract suitable for the conference?

Papers should report on original case studies of the application of technology or research-based findings that have a practical implementation and innovative technical developments. They must contain quality research material, scientific or technical information such as quantifiable carbon savings achieved or environmental gains and not have been published previously.

Suitable abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper. All abstracts and papers will be subject to a technical review.

How to submit your abstract

 

 Your abstract must include the following:

  • The full title for the paper
  • Names, job titles and company of authors
  • Email for the lead or corresponding author
  • Up to 150 word summary of the paper topic
  • An indication of which theme the paper should fit. 
  • A selection of keywords
  • All abstracts must be written in English

 

Deadlines for submissions

  • 29th January 2021 - Closing date for abstracts - Deadline extended 
  • 4th February 2021 - Notification to authors of abstract acceptance. Authors who  submitted abstracts by the original deadline will be notified by the end of January.  
  • 28th February 2021 - Submission of the final paper 

 

What happens after the abstract has been submitted

All abstracts will undergo a technical review and suitable abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper.

Authors will be notified by the 26th January 2021 if the abstract has been accepted. 

If you are invited to submit a paper the final paper will be required by the 21st   February 2021.

All those accepting the invitation to submit a paper must be aware that:

  • Authors must present their papers at the conference.
  • All authors shall comply with the strict deadlines for abstract and full-paper submittal.
  • All authors shall take into account reviewers’ recommendations and comply with the review-process deadlines.
  • All authors shall comply with the document entitled “Guidelines for Authors on the Presentation of Manuscripts” which will be provided. This will ensure the manuscript is formatted correctly.
  • Papers presented at the conference will be included in the IOR Annual Proceedings and the IOR shall own the copyright of the proceedings. Authors may publish updated versions of their papers at once the conference has taken place.
