Fantastic Fridges – a resource to promote refrigeration science in schools (GNET7)
This guidance note gives a brief overview of the the IOR www.FantasticFridges.com website which is designed for schools and young people to learn basic science concepts online in a fun way. It uses the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industry as an example to make these concepts applicable to everyday life. It includes timelines, games, videos and interviews to bring the science and our sector to life. Designed for schools to use in the classroom, members are also encouraged to use its content for STEM talks (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) at careers fairs, schools, with teachers or online events.
