An IOR Specification on Skills for Net zero is now available (July 2022). This document has been produced with input from members and others including end users and training specialists. The purpose of this document is to provide guidance on the additional skills, knowledge and behaviours required of end users, specifiers, designers and technicians to support the move to net zero heating and cooling.  It is provided as a reference guide for those who wish to audit their own skills, that of their workforce or develop training programmes and qualifications.  We welcome your comments and suggestions for the future development of this specification.

Beyond Refrigeration will help to identify training materials to develop the best people and skills so that everyone involved in cooling and heating has adequate technical understanding and responsibility for championing net zero.
