The IOR masterclass series is designed to support colleges and employers who take on trainees (or anyone who wants to refresh their knowledge). The online classes are broadcast live but also recorded and added to a video reference library. They are aimed at students in vocational colleges, particularly apprentices, to support their training and exam revision and are free for anyone to join or listen to.
The classes supplement classroom learning with information from experienced technicians. These talks will help to expand on and revise some of the more difficult areas around first principles and calculations, and demonstrate how college-based learning will be used in practice in the field. In each of the 1hr masterclasses there is time for questions and suggestions for IOR guidance notes for service engineers that go into more depth on the topic.
The first few Masterclasses in our series that started in January 2024 will cover pressure enthalpy, heat pump fundamentals, efficiency optimisation and insulation. More classes will be added every four to six weeks – why not set up a watch party in your conference room or workshop for your trainees?
The programme of topics is shown below. You can register for future events and view recordings of past classes below. If you have a question, would like to suggest more topics or can offer a Masterclass yourself please use this contact form to get in touch.
Each recording lasts approx 1hr.
