The IOR’s latest webinar on Challenges and Learning from the Remote Monitoring and Analysis of Systems is now available for download. This webinar which took place on 5 April in Birmingham outlined the benefits of remote monitoring for system control, efficiency, effective maintenance and improved purchasing decision-making. The presentation also provided tips on maximising benefits by appropriate data management techniques along with examples drawn from field experience on how remote monitoring has improved performance.

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
