Quality and Special Processes in RACHP (GN41)

There are many benefits to be gained by operating a business in accordance with the principles of a well-established, documented, internationally recognised quality assurance system. The ISO9000 series of standards, first published in 1987, is perhaps the most widely used framework for Quality Management Systems. The definition of a process in ISO9000:2015 (fundamentals and vocabulary) includes a note to entry that emphasises that “A process where the conformity of the resulting output cannot be readily or economically validated is frequently referred to as a special process”.
