EC Fan Motors (TB41)

This bulletin introduces EC fan motors -  a high efficient alternative to traditional AC induction motors normally supplied as an integral part of a fan or can be separate components whereby an impeller is later fitted onto an output shaft.  The term EC is an abbreviation of electronic commutation and was initially used to differentiate from other DC technology products. It was developed to meet the need for reduced energy consumption and simple control. The bulletin covers production, technologies, control, efficiency and service issues.
