A Novel Low Energy Defrost Process for the Frozen Food Chain
This paper examines a new low temperature defrost system which requires virtually no extra energy and which also reduces the temperature rise of the freezer contents during defrost. This flash defrost system was applied to a frozen food retail cabinet and to a walk-in frozen food store.
