Ecopump: A Novel Thermoelectric Heat Pump/Heat Recovery System for Domestic Building Applications
This paper investigates the performance, under laboratory conditions, of a window thermoelectric heat pump/heat recovery system (Ecopump) for heating mode. A corresponding mathematical model is presented and an overview to the prototype design, heat transfer model and experimental parameters discussed.
The proposed Ecopump system combined with a window frame could be a promising technology to enhance space heating/cooling for domestic buildings whilst reducing energy consumption during daily ventilation.
