Large scale heat pumps for high efficiency district heating projects
Industrial heat pump installations into district heating network is a fast growing market. There are still lessons to be learned as large ammonia heat pumps are being installed in cities across Europe. This paper describes some of the design considerations for optimising large heat pumps and how to keep them safe in dense populated areas. Three very different bespoke heat pump projects are described, each with their unique design to match the application.
