Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) and their Potential in Adsorption Heat Pumps

Adsorption technology has gained considerable research interest in the last few years as it offers a good solution for many energy problems facing our world today. It can be used to generate cooling/heating effects without CO2 emissions using environmentally friendly refrigerants such as water. Also, the system can be operated using low grade heat sources such as industrial waste heat or renewable energy sources.
