The Fantastic Fridges web site is not only teeming with information on the science of cooling, it also gives examples of careers and provides an insight of apprenticeships in the sector.
The education section of the IOR web site is another great resource with information including a searchable database of employers looking for apprentices in the industry and handy links for anyone already working in the industry.

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
