Eight students have been named as finalists for this year’s RAC and IOR National Student of the Year competition that will be held online as part of a special broadcast and event on 9 December.
A main focus of the prize continues to be to honour engineers currently undertaking training that have stood out over the last twelve months or displayed a level of quality or dedication in their work that can address some of the huge challenges facing the industry. This has been particularly the case over the course of 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic has put unprecedented pressures on trainers and their students. The Institute of Refrigeration adds its congratulations to all eight candidates.

- Luke Haile with Lightfoot Defence
- Alex Holdstock with AC Enviro
- Joshua Hoyes with Dixon Facilities Management
- Matthew Huckle with EPTA UK
- Joshua Marsden with Airkool
- Gemma Weston with CSS Environmental
