Cool Talk 2019 are go and we're starting off the year in Hampshire with a session arranged by the Hampshire Refrigeration Society and hosted by Business Edge. The talks will cover safe electrical isolation and Refrigerant Leak Detection & Fixed Gas Monitoring Systems Overview. We will also be looking at N41 - R466A and other developments in refrigerants aimed to reduce environmental impact. Suppliers and manufacturers will be on hand to answer questions and there will be coffee, tea and bacon rolls to start your day on the right foot!

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
