World Refrigeration aims to raise awareness among the wider public about the importance of refrigeration technologies in everyday life. As part of the event, IIR (International Institute of Refrigeration) is compiling details on the different initiatives being organised worldwide. Whilst this year's events are most likely to held online, related initiatives such as launch of a video, a training programme, or publication on 26th June can also be included. IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
