The congress theme will be “Refrigeration for Human Health and Future Prosperity" and will focus on the current issues we are all facing: energy saving and energy efficiency, food supply, health, reduction of global warming and the protection of the ozone layer.
Taking place in a different country and continent each time, and gathering over thousand individuals, the IIR International Congress of Refrigeration (ICR) is a unique opportunity for researchers and engineers from all over the world, and from all refrigeration sectors and technologies to meet, exchange and publish the results of their research. ICR 2019 will offer dynamic programme of quality technical, scientific and industry insights inducing technical tours visits, networking opportunities and focused work meetings.

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
