The IOR is continuing to increase its presence with no less than five events organised by branches before the end of the year. IOR will be hosting two Cool Talk breakfast briefings for service engineers and technicians, one taking place in Basingstoke on 9 October, the other in Bristol on 12 November. In addition to this, the Northern Branch will be holding its annual dinner on 24 October in Newcastle while the IOR Scotland is holding a seminar on 30 October in Aberdeen and its ever-popular and always sold-out annual dinner on 14 November in Glasgow.
Commenting on the IOR’s increasing regional presence, Miriam Rodway, CEO of the IOR said “the Trustees made a commitment to organise more local events this year following feedback from our members that they wanted to make more contacts locally. We are delighted that these have been very well supported by members and by the industry. We are very fortunate to have a strong team of committed members in our branches who have great relationships with companies willing to host meetings and provide sponsorship support to keep costs to members down. Having a regional programme of events has helped the IOR to address needs for technical input and networking across the country.”
The full calendar of forthcoming regional events including Cool Talks breakfast briefings and local seminars is available from the events page on the IOR web site. If you are a member and want to see more events happening near you, do get in touch with us at ior@ior.org.uk, IOR has lots of resources and can offer help in planning and publicising your local meetings to members.
