Organisers for Rankine 2020 - Advances in Cooling, Heating and Power Generation, have recently launched the Conference’s Student Prize awarding the best paper written by a student author. Chosen from each of the three conference streams, each lead student author will receive a prize of £500. From the three winning papers, an overall winner will be chosen. IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
