The aim of this guidance is to identify some of the questions that need to be considered if customers wish to continue to operate systems currently operating with R404A in the future.
Availability of virgin R404A is reducing and the price is increasing rapidly. Servicing involving removal or replacement of refrigerant in R404A systems will be banned after 2030.
The questions in this guide are designed to assist in evaluating the options available for these systems.
