Get into Teaching - guidance for becoming a technical teacher (GNET15)
This note provides guidance for anyone considering sharing their experience by becoming a teacher of RACHP skills.
Based on input from experience trainers and teachers it outlines the benefits and process for becoming a professional RACHP teacher. Not only do teachers enjoy supporting the development of young people entering the industry but they can access flexible contracts (part time or full time) so that they can continue to work in the industry whilst sharing their skills with students.
New teachers don’t need a prior teaching qualification or academic qualifications to get started and can complete teacher training or advanced technical qualifications on the job with support from the college.
Download the guidance for more information about what makes a good teacher, different training and qualifications available and how the industry can help you (or someone you know!) to transition into a training role.
