Overview

Many different refrigerants are available, but it can be difficult to decide which is the most suitable for a particular application. A refrigerant can be dismissed as being unsuitable due to a perceived hazard, however, it is still possible to use the refrigerant safely. All refrigerants have their strengths and weaknesses and in this paper presentation, we will describe how the working fluids can be utilised in a safe way. This presentation will discuss the refrigerants: hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide and ammonia.
