On the 14th March the IOR's Women in RACHP Network will hold a training day to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day. The day is open to anyone working in, or who has an interest in, the refrigeration air conditioning and heat pump sector. 

Programme

The course will begin at 9:30am and is expected to end at 4.30pm. 

This practical taster session for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump maintenance from the WiRACHP network. This meeting will explain the principles of RACHP and give those taking part the opportunity to gain some hands-on experience.

The programme will include

• Basic refrigeration cycle.
• Refrigerant components and their function.
• Refrigerants and legislation.
• Air conditioning systems.
• Heat pumps and heat exchangers.
• Brazing overview.
• The use of press fit fittings.

The practical session will include pipe bending and the correct installation of MaxiPro Fittings. Anyone completing the course will receive a certificate of competency from Conex on the use of their press fittings.
