IOR Industry Skills Alliance Meeting

2 Jul 2026 09:30 to 14:30

The second meeting of the IOR Industry Skills Alliance will take place on 2 July in Sheffield. This session will focus on progressing the key priorities identified as critical to the sector, including strengthening apprenticeship and T Level pathways, shaping qualification design, expanding STEM and early engagement activity, and increasing the number of young people entering the profession.

The Industry Skills Alliance brings together employers and stakeholders to better align training provision with industry needs, while providing a clear and consistent voice to awarding bodies, government, and policy stakeholders.

Why attend?

This event is for employers, educators and industry stakeholders who want to be part of the solution rather than reacting to skills shortages as they arise.

By attending, you will:

  • Help shape how apprenticeships, T Levels and qualifications evolve

  • Contribute directly to a shared, industry-led month action plan

  • Build relationships with peers, providers and decision-makers

  • Gain clarity on how your organisation can get involved and make an impact

This is not a passive briefing. The outcomes of the day will inform the Alliance’s priorities, influence activity and future engagement with education and policy bodies.
