The Clean Cooling Network invites you to join the International Conference: Sustainable Cold-Chain for the Global South, taking place on 28–29 October 2025 at the Edgbaston Park Hotel, Birmingham, UK.
Clean cooling and cold-chain systems are pivotal to sustainable development, food and health security, and economic prosperity, particularly in the Global South. Yet progress remains far too slow. Key barriers persist, financing and implementation are falling behind and the risks of inaction are profound.
The two-day conference will bring together end-users, academics, development agencies, NGOs, industry leaders, and investors to:
- Examine the barriers that prevent the scale-up of clean cooling and cold-chain solutions.
- Identify critical issues and risks of continued inaction.
- Share insights and experiences from Africa, India, and beyond.
- Explore practical, tangible steps to accelerate meaningful change.
- Highlight research, trade, and commercial opportunities for the UK and globally.
The programme will include interactive discussions, workshops, technology showcases, and academic poster presentations, providing a collaborative platform to develop holistic, sustainable, affordable, and resilient solutions.
Registration is essential, and spaces are limited. Tickets are free, lunch will be included as well as a Drinks reception and buffet dinner on Tuesday, which will be accompanied by a photo exhibition.
