On the 5th March the IOR's Women in RACHP Network will hold a training day to celebrate International Women's Day. The day is open to anyone working in, or who has an interest in, the refrigeration air conditioning and heat pump sector. 
 
Participants will receive an overview of the systems, details on the principles of refrigeration, and F-Gas Regulations, as well as hands-on practical experience. The course will begin at 9.30am.
 
This event is open to both technical and non-technical staff and no prior knowledge of refrigeration is required.
 

Outline programme

  • Thermodynamic Principles - A theory-based session with simple and clear practical elements to help build an understanding of the refrigeration cycle
  • Electrical fundamentals - Small classroom session on electrical principles using the hotwires kits 
  • Daikin Altherma VR - This technology will be used to enable delegates to experience installing a heat pump 
  • Split practical tasks - A practical session covering piping, fireless joints and flaring etc
