The presentation introduces a novel heat pump system that recovers waste heat from the London Underground and assesses its potential benefits in terms of reducing energy costs and emissions, which can be further decreased if heating and cooling are integrated. The talk also highlights the potential for waste heat in general as a valuable resource for cutting down carbon emissions whilst also improving energy security across the UK.
