Support the technical development of someone you know by encouraging them to join the IOR

With public meetings and work place attendance stilllimited at the moment and yet so many people still needing to access technical information, on line training and networking, the IOR is making some temporary changes to our membership processes to make it easier and quicker for people to join.

  • We are inviting current members to identify someone they work with who would benefit from membership – to allow them to access its comprehensive and reliable collection of online technical, education and training resources. IOR membership distinguishes people in the industry who want to learn more and refresh their technical knowledge.
  • For those new to the industry IOR now has a Membership Pathways mentoring scheme, which pairs them with an experienced member who can help them to plan and guide their professional development so that they have a clear route to get them from Associate (or Pre-Associate) level to full Member grade recognition.
  • The application fee has been reduced from £49 to £20 for everyone until 1st September.  For those experiencing financial difficulty, there will be a payment holiday for their first years' full membership fee (ranges from £30-£98) until 1st September.
  • Join now and get access to the online library within 24hrs and be sent our latest news whilst themembership application is being processed so you  can start getting involved in the IOR network straight away.

Our members tell us that the IOR has helped their career development, so we want them to make contact with someone who is ambitious, career-focused and thirsty for knowledge to invite them to join now by sharing the link www.ior.org.uk/membership which explains the various grades and benefits available or suggesting they watch our webinar about how to join at www.ior.org.uk/membership/benefits-of-membership

The IOR continues to offer many services for members, both existing and new, in spite of Covid-19 restrictions, with a growing programme of online events, new publications regularly uploaded to the website and encouraging debate on issues critical to the future of our sector – such as our new climate change challenge campaign “Beyond Refrigeration”. Follow us on social media to keep in touch with developments.

You can also download a flier about IOR membership here to forward on as a pdf to anyone you would like to encourage to join their Institute.
