The new Trustees are:
John Austin-Davies FInstR Commercial Director of EPTA Group, currently chairman of the RACHP Apprenticeship Trailblazer Employers Group.
Rob Lamb FInstR of Star Refrigeration, currently chairman of the Membership Committee of the IOR.The President welcomed the new Trustees to the IOR Board and thanked all three candidates who put their names forward for their willingness to volunteer for the IOR in this way.
The President-Elect nomination of Kevin Glass FInstR, was also confirmed at the AGM. The role of President-Elect is to support the existing President, Steve Gill, until his term of office ends at the AGM in November 2018 and the title of President is handed over.

Bookings Open For Adaptation 2027

Bookings are now open for the 2nd IIR International Conference on Refrigeration Adapting to Rising Temperatures. Taking place in Birmingham (UK) from 8 to 10 March 2027, the conference programme will take an international view of adaptation strategies and bring together international experts to accelerate the transition toward a sustainable, future‑proof global cooling sector.

Next Meeting of the Skills Alliance Announced

The next IOR Industry Skills Alliance in-person meeting will be held in London on 24th September. Join us to help us progress in our key areas, which include strengthening apprenticeship and T Level pathways, shaping qualification design, expanding STEM and early engagement activity, and increasing the number of young people entering the profession.
