The paper of J & E Hall Gold Medal 2023 Winner Alex Cohr Pachai Challenges of and Options for Refrigerant Selection is now available.
This paper provides an extensive overview of the future of refrigerants options while covering the relative strengths and weaknesses of current refrigerants available. The document also features examples of how end users are overcoming these barriers to successfully adopt low GWP alternative refrigerants safely.
The paper will be presented in London and online on 2 November following the IOR AGM.

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
