The papers for the 7th March 2024 webinar on the opportunities and challenges of heat pumps in the domestic hosuing market are now available on the IOR website.
The first paper looks at the modelling of the cost, energy supply and carbon emission consequences of increased use of domestic heat pumps as part of the UK 2050 net zero target. The second paper features a case study of a pioneering rural village district heat network using high-temperature ammonia air-to-water and ground-to-water heat pumps to supply heat to 300 buildings including houses, a school, and two churches.

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
