The IOR's RACHP EngTech Section has been reissuing its good practice guides and bulletins. Our latest ones, listed below, are a source of practical "toolbox talk" style information:

They will be of interest to technicians, service engineers, installers and maintenance experts. If you are a Technician or employ Technicians please pass this information on.

Members are sent newly printed bulletins every quarter and IOR or Section members can download them for free from the IOR website. (The bulletins are currently unavailable to non-members).

Membership of the section is just £42 per year and includes a subscription to receive printed copies of new bulletins quarterly, immediate access to all downloads, including past bulletins and an annual CPD certificate.

Find out more about the numerous benefits of membership here.

Opportunity For Employers To Influence Future Skills

10 Dec 2024

BESA, on behalf of the Engineering Building Services Skills Authority (EBBSA,) are setting up Sector Groups (SG’s) in occupations within Building Services.  The SG’s purpose is to bring employers within specific occupation groups together to determine the roles that exist within that occupational area, thereafter determine a competency framework for these roles.  The IOR is pleased to be invited to support this work and to help co-ordinate outputs with its own plans to map skills needs and roles in the RACHP sector.
