The medal is presented each year at the IOR annual dinner for the best talk or webinar given to members during the previous papers session. The winner is selected by IOR members so let us know which of our talks from last year really stood out for you. The list of eligible papers is shown below.
The award is supported by Lightfoot Defence and the prize includes an engraved medal and a cheque for £500.

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
