The Annual Proceedings of the Institute of Refrigeration Volume 115 are now available for download. Compiling technical papers and reports of the IOR meetings for 2018 – 19, the proceedings include talks on the Birth of the Refrigeration Industry in London and A Generalized Modeling Platform to Predict the Performance of Positive Displacement Compressors to name but a few.
Members can download the Annual Proceedings for FREE (non-members can purchase them for £47). This is one of the many perks of membership which also includes free access to the library of IOR technical information, as well as regular news updates, invitations to attend events or training materials. IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
