Close to 70 abstracts have now been accepted for the 2nd IIR International Conference on Refrigeration Adapting to Rising Temperatures (Adaptation 2027), highlighting growing global interest in addressing the challenges that a warming world presents to the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) sector.

The conference, organised in Birmingham (UK) by the Institute of Refrigeration from 8 to 10 March 2027, will bring together leading researchers, engineers, industry professionals and policymakers to explore how rising ambient temperatures are impacting RACHP technologies and to share practical solutions that will help the sector adapt to a changing climate.

The programme features a wide range of presentations examining both the challenges and opportunities associated with higher operating temperatures. Topics include Cooling Equipment Failure During High Ambient Temperatures and Refrigerant Formulation for Improved Performance in Higher Ambient Temperatures, alongside many other research papers focused on innovation, resilience and sustainability.

Conference and day-rate tickets are available, as well as discounted prices for students and delegates from low- and middle-income countries.
