Earlier this month, the Institute of Refrigeration, in collaboration with the IOR International Refrigeration Committee, held an industry-wide consultation on EN378-2 tightness test requirements. BS EN 378 RACHP Safety and Environmental standard is currently under review and the IOR Technical Committee has been in discussion with the European Working Group for several years to try to improve the current text on tightness testing of site pipework installations. A broad spectrum of industry representatives registered for the event, which covered various aspects of the topic, including the requirements for testing, the reasons behind these requirements and the current obligations under EN378‐2:2016. Delegates were asked to give their input on the above points and share what they consider to be best practice. The recording is available from the IOR's webinar channel.
