Two IOR Trustees, Steve Benton FInstR and Craig Girdlestone FInstR were recognised for their contribution to industry at the ACR News Awards held on 19 March in London.  

Steve Benton received the Alan Moor Award in recognition of his significant work revising and drafting key industry Standards, as well as his commitment to education and training.

Craig Girdlestone was honoured with the Environmental Hero Award for his impactful contribution to training and the development of sustainable cold chains in emerging economies through the Africa Centre of Excellence.

Congratulations to both for these well-deserved awards recognising their behind-the-scenes work.

A special mention as well to Samantha Buckell, Chair of the IOR Women in RACHP  who received the Equality Trailblazer of the Year Award for her work on inclusivity and mentorship.

IOR Board Of Trustees Nominations Open

Fellows, Members, Associates and Technicians are all invited to consider joining the Board in this year’s round of elections. Each year two new Board members are elected by the membership to encourage opportunities for new people and different expertise and experience to play a role.
