ISHRAE recently released a position document on Managing Heat Stress & Enhancing Thermal Comfort. Prepared by ISHRAE's Technical Groups on Healthcare, Thermal Comfort, Passive Cooling, Evaporative Cooling, and Safety, synthesises evidence-based guidance across three critical scales of intervention:
Individual behaviour — practical, immediately actionable measures for personal protection during extreme heat.
Building design & management — passive and active strategies for building owners, managers, and institutions.
Indoor environment control — measures to ensure safe and comfortable indoor conditions for all occupants.
