New RACHP EngTech Bulletins are now available for immediate access on the members’ area of the IOR website.

New bulletins are:
 
  • The Impact of Dirty Condenser Coils (GPG 139): in this bulletin, we identify the impact of dirty coils on air-cooled condensers and how a lack of maintenance can negatively affect the overall the performance of a refrigeration system. This bulletin will provide a check list when it comes to cleaning
  • Distributors and Flooded Evaporators (GPG 140): this bulletin is the latest in the air-conditioning series and follows on from the guidance on expansion valves hunting (GPG 137). 
The latest issue of Service Matters is also available in the members' area.

New IOR Guidance Note on Coaching

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development.  The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
