A recording of the March IOR TechTalk is now available. The presentations explored challenges and opportunities for heat pumps in the domestic housing market.

The first paper focused on heat pump technology and its relevant challenges within the domestic market. The second presentation explored how heat networks can be installed in rural areas. This case study presentation focused on the Swaffham Prior Project that allowed for 300 properties to be decarbonise across the village.

New IOR Guidance Note on Coaching

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development.  The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
