How will rising temperatures reshape our homes and cities? Join us at Adaptation 2025 for a topical keynote by Dr Ruth Wood (PhD) of Manchester University, focusing on what rising temperatures mean for homes and cities.

UK heatwaves and recent rising ambient temperatures across Europe and the world have made headlines. During Adaptation 2025, Dr Ruth Wood PhD of the University of Manchester, will share her expertise in sustainable housing and urban planning to explore how the Manchester region is addressing the dual challenges of overheating and decarbonisation. Her talk will highlight key vulnerabilities in current housing, the barriers to effective adaptation, and how passive and mechanical cooling solutions must be integrated within retrofit strategies.

Find out more about her keynote and the conference, which is held in Manchester from 10 to 13 August, here.
