The Institute is delighted to announce that the IOR STEM Toolkit has been shortlisted for an ACR News Award in the Training Initiative category. This kit, which comprises activities ideas, heat transfer demonstration materials, handouts, and branded materials, has been utilised by IOR STEM Ambassadors nationwide to help introduce RACHP to young minds and promote our sector.

Talking about the IOR being shortlisted, IOR President Lisa-Jayne Cook FInstR said "We're delighted that the IOR STEM Toolkit has been shortlisted for an ACR News Award in the Training Initiative category! This fantastic resource empowers IOR STEM Ambassadors to highlight RACHP careers in a fun and engaging way. New IOR Guidance Note on Coaching

IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development.  The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
