This training day offers delegates the opportunity to learn the fundamentals behind cooling as well as take part in a practical taster session and demonstrations for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump maintenance. The programme will include:

  • Thermodynamic Principles - a theory-based session with simple and clear practical elements to help build an understanding of the refrigeration cycle
  • Electrical fundamentals - small classroom session on electrical principles using the hotwires kits
  • Daikin Altherma VR - this technology will be used to enable delegates to experience installing a heat pump
  • Split practical tasks - a practical session covering piping, fireless joints and flaring etc

This session, organised by the IOR’s Women in RACHP Network, is open to everyone, whether you’re technical, non‑technical, new to the sector, or simply curious. No prior knowledge required; just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

Places are £70 per person, and bookings are available from the IOR website.
