In response to unprecedented demand, organisers of the inaugural IIR International Conference on Refrigeration Adapting to Rising Temperatures have extended the abstract submission deadline to 19 November 2024.
This landmark conference will be held in person from 10 to 13 August 2025 in Manchester, UK.
As global temperatures continue to rise, the RACHP industry faces increasing challenges. The conference aims to address these issues by encouraging dialogue and innovation among professionals dedicated to developing sustainable, climate-resilient solutions. Organisers are inviting abstracts that present case studies, innovations, research, and expert insights on the intersection of refrigeration technology and climate adaptation. IOR has published its latest Education Guidance Note in the series, this time focusing on Coaching as a way of employers supporting engineering and technician development. The Guidance Note (16) gives a guide to understanding the benefits of coaching, how this differs from mentoring and includes a useful list of organisations who can offer help with setting up coaching schemes or offer coaching.
