Update about the conference abstracts 

The review process for the abstracts is now complete and invitations to submit a full paper will be sent to authors by the 14th September. If you have not recieved a notification by this date check your Conftool account to see the status of your abstract or contact ior@ior.org.uk.

The accepted abstracts are being transfered to the new papers submission option in in ConfTool. This process will be complete by the 20th September. No papers can be uploaded before this transfer is complete.

Ethics of Scientific writing and use of AI-Generated Content. 

In line with the IIR's commitment to scientific integrity, all contributors to the 2^nd IIR International Conference on Refrigeration Adapting to Rising Temperatures (Adaptation 2027) are expected to uphold high ethical standards in the preparation of content. This includes ensuring originality, proper attribution of sources, and transparency in the development process. The use of AI tools – such as those for drafting, editing, or translating – must be explicitly disclosed. While AI can support clarity and consistency, it must not replace expert judgment or introduce unverified information. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, validity, and originality of all submitted content.  AI-generated material should be carefully reviewed and edited to ensure it meets the scientific rigour and practical relevance expected in IIR conference proceedings. Practices such as plagiarism, data fabrication, and misrepresentation of sources are strictly prohibited. All contributors must ensure that their work reflects a genuine intellectual contribution and adheres to international standards for ethical scientific communication.

What you will need to know before you submit a paper  

Timetable 

• 26th October 2026: Full papers due. 
• 23rd November 2026: Authors informed of the acceptance of the full paper 

• 7th December: Final manuscripts with required revisions submitted  
• 8th January 2027:  Presenting Author should have booked to attend the conference 

All those accepting the invitation to submit a paper should be aware that :

• Authors must personally present their papers at the conference.

• All authors shall comply with the strict timetable for abstract and full paper submittal.

• All authors shall take into account reviewers’ recommendations and comply with the review process deadlines.

• All authors shall comply with the document Download guidelines on authors preparing a paper

• The allocation of papers to streams and themes is at the discretion of the conference organisers and paper may be moved to an alternative stream

• Presenting authors must book to attend the conference no later than the 8 January 2027. Any presenter not booked by this date will have their paper removed from the programme. The paper will not be published in the conference proceedings or be Indexed in the international databases SCOPUS or Web of Science. 

Papers publication

Papers presented at the conference will be published in the conference proceedings. The conference proceedings will be distributed at the event, appear in the IIR FRIDOC database, or Web of Science and on SCOPUS. These proceedings shall become part of the IIR’s Refrigeration Science and Technology series. The IIR shall own the copyright of the proceedings. Authors may publish updated versions of their papers in the International Journal of Refrigeration after the conference has taken place.  Any paper that is not presented during the event will not be included in the conference proceeding and will not be published.
